How did you like having it flat ironed? When I was a loose natural my hair was way to short to ever flat iron and I locked before it grew.
I just flat ironed it because I have only done it once since this 2nd natural hair journey. I don't know what to do with it. My combs are now too big and I had gotten used to uber thick hair. LOL I dare not put any more heat on it. I had it done at a salon but it already started curling back up while I was in there so she didn't curl it at all. I got my ends trimmed though. Let's just say, I want to find something to do to get my money's worth, but I won't hate having my thick, curly strands back. :-)
i love your curls! i do understand the need for change though~ i'm sure whatever style you choose, you'll be lovely~~hugskatie
I love, love, love that you are so truthful and real about your hair. I can relate on all levels. One word of warning from someone who has been sporting natural hair for decades, I am now growing out my hair yet again because of a bad experience at a salon. Shoulder length hair after being blown out twice, gone!. It just broke off! Since then, wore a teeny weeny afro for about a year and now I am at a difficult in between stage and resorted to sporting a wig for the first time in my life until it grows out a bit.more. I usually do twists but I don't even want to do that these days especially now that I'm taking swimming classes. I 'm sure you're familiar with curlynikki.com. She has a book, Better Than Good Hair, as well. You're bound to find some inspiration. Sorry for the long comment, but, like I said, I can relate.
I flat ironed my hair in April. That will probably be the last time for a long time. The whole process is just too time consuming and I don't have the patience. Your hair is so thick and shiny! I hope you post pics when you decide on a style.Tschüss ( that means bye:)
It must take so long to straighten your hair! Then the rain has to arrive. I love your curls. :) I am stuck with ridiculously straight hair.
