Kreativ Blogger Award

About a month ago I was awarded the Kreativ Blogger award from Jan of the *Bikbik and Roro* blog.  Bikbik and Roro is such a great blog, filled with stuffed ghostlets, cute kittens, artwork, sewing projects, and inspirational stories.  Thank you so much for awarding me with the Kreativ Blogger award.  :-)

Blog Rules:
  1. Post a link to the person who awarded you.
  2. Share 7 well-thought out random things about yourself.
  3. Award to 10 other bloggers and let them know.
7 Random Things About Me:
  1. I always wanted a big sister, but I think having a big brother is pretty amazing too.  He lives about 600 miles away and we talk on the phone two or three times a week.  Sometimes more.  Like I said, pretty amazing.
  2. I love pretty stationary.  Writing emails is wonderful, but there's no replacing a handwritten note....on pretty stationary.  :-)
  3. I rarely watch t.v. anymore, but I'm a sucker for a good drama.  They have the best lines!  I absolutely love "The Color Purple," "To Kill a Mockingbird," and movies about people's lives.  Remember "On Thin Ice:  The Tai Babilonia Story"?  Yeah, I'm probably the only one who loved and saw that movie over and over again.  And recorded it on VHS.
  4. When I was a kid, I wanted to speak French so badly.  I used to practice my version of it using my parent's old French textbooks and this paperback French-English dictionary.  (I still have that thing.)  So what happened?  After all those years of dreaming and pretending, I took French I in high school and my teacher destroyed the sound I longed for due to her own Southern drawl.  So the next year, I took Spanish.  My teacher was German.  lol
  5. I smile behind the camera when I take other people's photos.  I can't help it.
  6. For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted a truck.  A pickup truck, not a SUV which people sometimes refer to as a truck.  Think Ford F150.
  7. I love to see families spending quality time together, especially where there are daddies involved.
I would like to pass this award on to 10 other bloggers.  Through blog hops and bloggers who've found me somehow, I've gotten to meet some new bloggers with amazing blogs.  Then others I met because we follow a mutual blog and that's how the friendship started.  Check out these blogs if you haven't already *met* them.  {It still amazes me how huge this world is, and yet I find myself *bumping into* the same online people.  Kinda wonderful like that.}

  1. Libby,

What a nice suprise I had this morning!
Thank you to being in your list of favorite blogs! It's a honor for me, because you're a good, intelligence and very creative person.
As you see, my blog is simple, but it's my may essence. I'm grateful to be in your special list and happy to have your friendship too!
As I say in english at the end of my posts:

    Thank God!

    Thanks Libby!

You are cutie! - as says Hebe Camargo, our Opray Winfrey.

    Have a nice day!

  3. Thank you! A nice surprise. I had to chuckle when I read your random things. Tai Babilonia, really? And the French and Spanish. My daughter's French teacher for four years was Russian, so we always joked that she was learning French with a Russian accent. I admire anyone who can speak more than one language. I took German as a little kid and a little in high school through a tutor (the only foreign language at my school in those days was Latin -- which I took!). I have essentially no German anymore unless I need to say it's my birthday and I'm 9 years old.

  4. Thank you!

I've always wanted a TRUCK too. I had a little Ford Ranger at one point in my life but I want a bigger one. I have no idea why.

  8. Thank you for the award Libby! I laughed reading about the french accent including the southern accent. That must sound odd together! I love the french language and tune into french films On Demand when available. You would love where I work....lots of Ford F150s since I deal with construction workers every day.
