12! Progress

If you're a bit of a math geek, just skip down to the photo because you won't need this brief explanation of 12! (12 factorial).  But for everyone else, here's a brief explanation of this math term.  A factorial is the product of an integer and all the integers below it.  So 12! = 12x11x10x9x8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1.  This is the basis for the baby blanket I'm working on now.  No, I won't have the number of rows expressed by this product, but this is how my colors are laid out on the blanket.  12 rows of color 1, 11 rows of color 2, 10 rows of color 3 and so forth.  Pretty geeky I know, the one-year old "man-child" that will get this blanket won't care a bit, but maybe when he gets older he will have rolled around and played on this factorial blanket so much that he decides to become a mathematician.  :-)

At this point I'm on color 4.  I did purchase 2 skeins of blue, but I'm really trying to work all of my remnant blues from my yarn stash into this project.  I got the initial idea of creating a stripey blanket from Ayana's vlogs here and here.

This is me working furiously on this project.

  1. You're making good progress on the blanket.

I don't like the idea that you appear to be in a waiting room. Hope things are improving.
