This Week as I Know It - Weekly Update #21

Another week has gone by!  I've been working super hard and sometimes it seems like there's still not enough hours in a day.  One day at a time, one day at a time.

I did receive some feedback from the wedding photos I finished up last week, and I was super thrilled to hear that voice message on my machine that said that the clients were super pleased with their photos.  Photographers are very technical people.  But at the end of the day, it's about whether or not the client is satisfied.  And they were.  That made my day!  :-)

I've been a good daughter this week.  Being nurse to one parent and advocate for the other.  Helping one through surgery and recovery and making secret appointments for the other to gently urge them out of their slothfulness.  Once in the hospital I said out loud, "you guys should have had some more kids!" but I don't think they heard me.  The "well" one was sleep the whole time.  The "sick" one was on the good medication.  But I was joking.  I'm glad to help.  Tests were run and now we wait.  That's the hard part.

Look what's growing in my container garden?  Yes, the cayenne peppers are finally starting to turn red!

And the jasmine plant I bought this summer is doing well in its new location.  Like the red lava rocks?  I put out a few loads earlier this week.

We'll see how it goes, but I'm supposed to go to a football game today.  My alma mater, NCCU, is playing Duke University at Duke.  I've never been to a game like this before.  So, if I actually make it, I'll give you the highlights.

Have a Great Weekend!

I may be linked up to the following parties:

  1. Peppers ...

I love seeing the feet of pepper!
Jasmine ... I think beautiful! And the perfume?
Libby, on September 25, his birthday, I would like to visit, ok?

  2. ...that's why I like to have a big family...more kids the better (once I get old!)

  3. I am glad the photos are a success! That adds to your portfolio too!
I hope your parents heal up quickly.
The cayenne peppers are looking perfect!
The lava rock looks fantastic next to the brick.
    Have a great week Libby!
