If you haven't been able to tell by now, my hair is super, super thick! If you look at each strand individually you'll see that I actually have tightly curled hair. It loves water so much that when it gets wet, all of it shrinks so if you want to know exactly how long my hair is, you have to straighten it first. And did I mention it was super, super thick?
Ok, so with this running thing I've been doing, finding a style that works for me with all of the sweat involved, has been difficult. So now I'm resorting to a recently discovered go-to style. It takes me about 15 minutes to do and if I'm good to my hair and wear a scarf at night, the style lasts many days before I need to take it down and do it again. That's win-win.
So here it is:
Now, normally I would clip a flower pin on the side, but this time I just chose to wear it unadorned. You don't have to have hair of my texture for this style to work, but I think it's more suited for a thick textured hair if the twists are twisted close to the scalp. Another alternative is to braid it across (like French braids). The "messy" French braid would work just as well, especially with straight or thinner hair. If your hair is long, you could opt to not pin the ends together but have a sort of side pony tail. Bottom line, just be creative and do what works and looks best for you and on!
