Life as I Know It - Weekly Update #20

I just completed my 3rd full week of school, 2 with students.  Slowly but surely I'm getting back into my routine.  The past month has been action packed with personal and family commitments as well as getting ready for this school year.  Little sleep does no good for anyone, but hopefully this week will slow down a bit.  I always feel better when I can cross some past obligations off "the list."

I finally finished editing the wedding photos from my cousin's wedding that was at the family reunion.  As soon as I get the release form back, I will share some of them with you.

It's no denying that fall/autumn is my favorite season.  I love the color scheme, the clothes worn during this season, and the fact that for me crocheting comes back into my life.

Here are some photos of cute clothes I've seen recently.  I think skirts must be fashionable this season so I need to rack up while they're hot!

That ruffle is just too cute.  :-)
Look at these fabulous belts!!!
Ok, too short for me but I like the look
I love brown!

Also, I started a small (or what I thought would be small) outdoor makeover project near the end of my summer.  It involved rocks.  Lava rocks.  I totally underestimated how small a cubic foot actually was and so let's just say lots of more rocks need to be purchased.  So I decided to purchase a designated amount each month.  My mom decided to match my rock purchase and caught herself up and purchased 3 months of rocks.  So her 3 months and my 1 month = lots and lots of rocks.  I've got my work cut out...

Oh and for some reason these soaps were on closeout at the grocery store, so I got all the remaining bars of peppermint and lavender, plus the liquid peppermint and hemp tea tree castile soaps.  Love, love.

* Using cell phone pics this post.  I'm resting up my camera.  :-)

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. Dr. Bronner's! We've used that soap off and on for many years. I used to enjoy reading the label on the bottle, but the type is too small for my middle-aged eyes now. I'd been wondering about the wedding photos. I hope you'll get to share a few.

  2. I'm sure the pictures you took will be loved by the new couple. You always do a great job! Love that last outfit. It would look great on you. Take a few naps this weekend. They are good for you. Trust me I know. :)

  4. I hope things settle down soon so you can get into the groove of the new school year! That yellow dress is so gorgeous! I know rocks. A couple of years ago I had 3 yards of rocks delivered....that is a serious amount of rocks. They were needed for a drainage project. Shovelling rocks is 10 times worse that shovelling mulch! Never again! Good luck with your project.

  5. Love those clothes you spotted. Especially those belts. I may need to make myself one! I am in love with the mustard color that is so popular right now too :)
