C25K - Week 5, Day 2

So today officially marks the halfway point of this C25K journey.  :-)

Today I went out after work and completed Day 2.  I was surprised because Day 2's workout was different than Day 1's.  Up until this point, the routine each of the three days of the same workout week have been the same.   They only changed the intensity on the new Day 1.  Today I had to jog 8 minutes, walk 5, then jog 8.  Why is it that when you're jogging even 5 minutes seems like a long time, but when you're walking the same length of time, it seems to go by so quickly?

There are a different set of people out in the cemetery depending on the time I go out.  I did see a couple of joggers.  And then there was this one man who was walking, then suddenly dropped to the ground and did a couple of pushups, got up and kept on walking.  I figure either he has one impressive workout or he's trying to impress.  What do you think?

Well, I felt great after my workout, despite the heat.  Just please encourage me as I venture towards Day 3 which means I have to jog for 20 minutes straight. *fingers crossed*

Oh, and before I forget, I have received an answer to the protein question.  If you want to gain weight, you drink the protein drink before a workout and if you're losing weight, you drink the protein drink afterwards.  The drink serves a different purpose depending on the time of intake and if you drink it afterwards it's more for replenishment purposes.  If I'm wrong, blame the guy on my job whom I asked this morning.  :-)

Week 5, Day 2
 And here's a photo again of my hair.  What am I going to do?  If I don't take these twists down, soon I will have dreadlocs and that's not my intention.  Plus, I'm at a crossroads because I really don't know how to keep up this particular workout routine and maintain my hair.  The easy fix would be to get braids or my usual afro twists, but I don't have the time or funds for that right now.  Any natural haired ladies have a suggestion?
