Life As I Know It - Weekly Update #18

It's been quite a long week trying to prepare for the beginning of a new school year as well as getting everything prepared for my grandma's birthday celebration, which is today.  But as always, whatever needs to get done, gets done.  I can't wait to show you the table decorations and programs that I made.  :-)

I've been kind of neglecting my container garden.  We've been receiving rain periodically and the temperatures haven't been as high so I've felt that the produce that's left needed less attending to.  I'm excited to see a few more peppers growing.  Yay!

I haven't put anything handmade into my Etsy shop yet, but I have listed some yarns that I'm destashing.  My blue yarn was featured in an Etsy treasury.  The curator created a beautiful collection of shades of blue.

The summer vacation is most definitely over and now after this week I feel that my house needs a deep cleaning.  Why is it that even when you have time off, you can never seem to get everything done?  lol

Well, that's it for now.  As soon as I can, I will be showing you lots of birthday photos!

Have a great weekend,

  1. I can feel things winding down for the summer also. A welcome relief really. Have fun at your Grandmothers party! :)

  2. I negleted our garden all together this year...furtunately we were blessed by other vegetable aboundance! so it's all good

  3. Good lookin' peppers. I've been neglecting my garden a bit. It was cooler last week, so I sort of forgot about the drought. Whoops. Some plants started wilting, like my wild ginger and the climbing hydrangea. Did some watering yesterday and today, so it'll probably rain tomorrow! lol

  4. Hi Libby. I hope your grandma's party went well. Thanks so much for stopping by Posed Perfection and leaving me a comment about the thrifty kitchen island. I hope you'll visit again soon! Have a delightful Sunday!

  5. Your peppers are looking delicious! I can't wait to see the party pictures! I totally neglected my garden this year when I intended on keeping up with the weeding. It was way too hot and humid!
