Am I Peter Piper?

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,

If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
How many pickled peppers did Peter Piper pick?

The last plants I potted were peppers.  For some reason I thought they were more jalapeños, but apparently I was thinking with a bit more clarity than I gave myself credit for.  I kept asking myself why would I purchase that many jalapeños.  Now I see that I didn't.  Instead (apparently) I purchased two cayenne pepper plants, a set of 4 hot banana peppers, and only 4 jalapeño plants.  ???

Now I will admit that as a child I always loved helping my mom and grandma string red chili peppers up and watch them dry out in the kitchen.  I still think that's pretty cool.  I guess I was in a pepper-planting mood when I was at the garden center.  lol

Check out the progress on my baby bells:

Here is the progress on the other pepper plants.  Finally they started growing and this week I noticed a flower or two.  That gives me hope for peppers in the future.

As for that baby bell in the first picture....since then, that's the only pepper produced.  I wasn't supposed to purchase a plant with a flower on it, but for some reason I did.  We'll see what happens.  For now, I'm just leaving it alone.

Happy Gardening,
