and reading a book

This book is so amazing.  It tells the life stories of three doctors growing up in inner city of New Jersey and how they were able to form a friendship pact that helped them get through high school, college, and medical school.  It is a phenomenal life story that I can't wait to share with my students in the fall.  This is the junior version of the book, The Pact.

and preparing for my 1000th post giveaway (yeah, apparently I've had a lot to say)

and, did I mention napping?

Yeah, it's pretty hot around here, plus I guess my body's catching up for that year's worth of teaching.  :-)

Be back soon,

  1. I thought it sounded like a nice time until I saw the root canal -- yikes! Hope you are recovering from that okay.

  2. Hope you are feeling better after the dentist visit. Yuck! I think you deserve all those naps after that. :)

  3. I don't know what is a root canal and I don't think I want to search it... Hope you are better now. :-)
We have been napping at home a lot too -- even on the floor! Yes, we need to catch up with each other.

  4. What a perfect summer (with the exception of the root canal)! Napping on hot summer days is a beautiful thing!!!
