So What Was the Secret Project?

So, here it is...

Have you noticed a few subtle changes, like the logo on my photography?

The logo design is special thanks to Yetunde of YayToonDay Designs.  Yes, this is the same Yetunde of the AfroMartha blog.  I love the logo image because it encompasses what I love.  If you look carefully, you will note that the center of the green leaf image is actually a shutter.  Yes, a camera shutter.  And the green leaf also symbolizes nature and being more earth-conscious.  At this point, you can expect to see more repurposed materials and upcycling and such from me.  Thanks, Yetunde!

And why the logo?  Because I've been working on branding - giving my business more of a presence.  And with that presence you need a place to display your work.  So, I've been working on a website that just went live on Monday.  It's a labor of love, but I've been working with a great company located not too far from me -, and everyone I've chatted with has been super helpful in a matter of moments.  Their packages are priced really well and I used the proceeds from my business to pay for it.  That makes me super excited just to know it could happen.

There's more work to be done.  Of course, the store is not open yet.  I've got some very specific things to make first, but I wanted to show you what I'd been up to.  Hope you like it.  :-)

My website is officially:

Let the games begin,

  1. Going to check out the website now!

  2. I was checking your new website and I think it has a nice design that matches your personality, althout it is too slow for me. I don't know if it is because I am outside the US and the server takes too long to respond or just a matter of using Flash technology, but I am worried it will become slower when you add more stuff. I hope this testing helps you to improve your website and the team from Photobiz can resolve any problem you may find.

    1. Thank you for the feedback. I'm also working on an HTML option, but I will check with the tech team to see what I can do about the Flash version. :-)

  3. Beautiful photos Libby! And I like the site design. I agree that everything from the logo to the new website really fits your personality! Bravo!

  4. The new shop looks beautiful Libby! Yetunde did a fantastic job with your new logo. I love the symbolism.

  5. It is so pretty, Libby!!! I love the colors!

  6. I'm behind on my blog reading, but congrats Libby - this looks absolutely phenomenal!!!
