Dinner With Friends - Peruvian Style

Friday evening I had the pleasure of going to a new Peruvian restaurant called "Midpoint Rotisserie."  Each time I try a new culinary style I try to vary the dishes so that I can get a good idea of what that cuisine has to offer.  I've had Lomo Saltado before but I'm picky about my beef so usually when out I order a chicken dish.  This time I tried this restaurant's version of Lomo Saltado and it was good.  My only "correction" to suit my personal preference would be to cut the beef differently - against the grain and in strips instead of chunks.  I love thin meat; especially with beef.  I would love for my mom to try this place, but the next time I will order the Pollo Saltado.

At any rate, dinner with friends was a big hit - especially with my friend (beside me) going to Peru for the summer.  Oh how I'll miss her but she hasn't seen her family in four years so it's time to visit.

Next on the agenda is to visit a Brazilian restaurant, as my other friend in the photo is from there. :-)

Buen Provecho,

  3. Nice dress! I have never tried Peruvian food. Actually I am very picky so I avoid going to places where I don't know what would I end eating unless someone who has previously went there invites me. lol
At least there is one thing we don't have in common. ;-)
