Holiday Dinner 2010

Tonight I attended the holiday dinner I mentioned to you a little while back.  And it was at the Country Club after all!  I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.  I wish that I could have taken photos.  I've always been enamored by the art of decorating a plate of food.  Chefs are very creative that way.

Well I never found a top to match the green skirt after all.  And so in a mad rush - I'm talking like the time I got home from work was the time I was supposed to be leaving out for the dinner (don't ask) - I threw together a few items and this is what I came up with:

Black spandex tee shirt, black skirt with a hem that flares out, a cool purplish-black sweater I found on clearance last week, and a scarf that I tied around my waist like a cumber bun.  Then I wore some black leather knee boots.  No holiday red, but I was satisfied.

  1. I love it! The sweater is gorgeous and goes perfectly with the scarf-you are definitely both stylish and creative- I myself need to work more in the style department, lol!

  2. Very pretty and creative outfit!

  3. I think you did great! Love the sweater and scarf. I hope you had a great time. :)

  4. Thanks for telling me about your new blog! I was actually wondering where you'd been! LOL. That's a really cute outfit you put together-- love the sweater! Hope it was a fun night!

  5. The scarf looks so beautiful with the sweater! Happy holidays! ~Val

  6. Love the combination!
    Merry Christmas!!
