Daddy's Gift

My Dad gave me a special, customized birthday gift this year - one that I just received on Thursday.  He took many images of me and gave them to a co-worker who also does acrylic painting on the side.  (It looks like we're all getting to that point - this job by day and crafting by night!  lol)  Anyways, here is what this local artist, Chuck Collins came up with:

So, what do you think?  I'm going to hang this in my craft room.  I've never received anything like this before.

  1. Wow! What a beautiful gift and so thoughtful. I love the look of the acrylic with its sharp lines and shading!!!

  2. That is gorgeous Libby! How sweet of your Dad to do that for you. Priceless.

  3. It reminds me of my student years - but my painting was really bad. lol
I love the composition of this, the coloured main figure in the centre and the other two monochromatic on both sides highlighting the main one. And I specially love the light on the hair and forehead. He did capture it very well.
What a special present. It would look wonderful in your craft room. Congratulations!

  4. this is so so stunning what a lovely gift xx

  5. wow, such a special gift, its lovely Libby!

  6. Hey Libby!, your father is great!, lovely gift! ;)
