Alpha Kappa Alpha Handbag

This morning I finished the AKA handbag!  It measures at approximately 12" tall, 5" wide, and 9" deep.  The customer opted for more vibrant shades of pink and green instead of the traditional colors.  So this is what we have:

The Greek letters have been stitched into the handbag as well as a hand-beaded ivy
and the recipient's line number.

The handbag includes a magnetic clasp closure and is lined with a funky pink and green cotton fabric - to match the recipient's fun-loving and funky personality.  Inside the bag are two pockets, one for a cellphone and the other for any other odds-and-ends.

I almost forgot to mention that there are feet attached to the bottom of the bag.  I aim to deliver this bag today and hope that my customer's niece, who pledged this past spring, enjoys it.

Now someone else, who is a Delta has just buzzed in my ear, "What about our bag?" so that means for me that I need to start charting out some more letters.  Just being fair.  :-)
