Health Announcement

Today marks one year since I drank a soda.  It was hard at first, not because I was addicted to sodas, but because I like taste and plain water wasn't big on my list.  And then there's just habits.  How I grew up, there was always a Coke or Gingerale in the house to help settle your tummy.  And my international friends have introduced me to some very tasty sodas from their countries too.  Why did I stop?  To force myself to drink more water.  That's it.  I do drink more water than before but now I think I'll concentrate on drinking the required amount.

What's my next health goal?  I'll think on it, do it, and report next year!  LOL  (Don't want to put my foot in my mouth.)  But you know, I cleaned out my refrigerator and freezer before I left to go to Ohio.  Now that it's bare and I'm back, I think it's the perfect time to rethink how it should be restocked....  Baby steps.  Baby steps.

  1. Very proud of you Libby! I haven't drank soda very quite some time. I just can't anymore. I feel like a truck has hit me if I do. Water and tea. That's all there is for me. (pretty good rhyming, huh.) :)

  3. I never drank soda. I was (am) a weird child and didn't like coke taste. The only drink that appeals me is lemon-anything but I don't like to mix tastes while eating so I always drink water.
Congratulations on your achievement! That was a wise decission.

  5. this is great Libby! I still have an ocassional soda, but I try drink water and tea daily. I keep a glass water bottle next to my bed to help remind me to drink more water, and you are exactly right it about baby steps, one step at a time!

  6. Congratulations Libby. That is great. I don't drink a lot of carbonated drinks but I do like flavor so while I drink lots of water I have a flavored drink too. My problem though is coffee lol.

Where in Ohio were you? Do you have any plans to come back out this way again? If it's close to Dayton I'd love to meet you in person!
