Today I was all prepared for having some fish for dinner. (Remember I said that I would love to have a piece every week.) I had purchased a seemingly nice piece of flounder that was waiting in the refrigerator just for this special moment. I seasoned it with Old Bay Garlic and Herb seasoning, a couple of pats of butter, and lemon juice. I placed a whole sprig of fresh dill on top and a couple of half slices of lemon, then sealed the baking dish and put it in the oven.
When I checked on it, the entire fish had disintegrated! I never heard of such. I mean, it literally disintegrated. Even the pieces that looked "whole", when I touched them, they too fell apart. What did I do wrong?
Now, for dinner, I must resort to the plain rice I was going to eat WITH the fish and um, cereal? oatmeal? peanut butter and jelly sandwich? what? I'm not thawing out any more meat and I don't want a salad. I guess I just need to find something and go to sleep. :-|
Have a great weekend, folks!
