Crafting while Braiding

I went to get my hair rebraided in between work and the night program that I'm my way to - at school again. A visiting author came and spent the day with the kids today, tonight he'll talk with parents and the teachers will host sessions in their rooms of reading to the families and helping them make a craft related to the picture book. Tomorrow the author will conference with teachers. His name is Lester Laminack. Anyhoo, I went a couple of houses down from the school to a lady who braids my hair. She's really fast and really good. I pulled out my new pattern for a cloche and my sweet pea Vanna Baby yarn and made a hat. I was done before her, but in fairness, I haven't made the huge flower pin that goes on the side. Here's my Misty's cloche. Off to Family Night! Plus I have to take pictures for the event.

  1. Looks awesome Libby! You have to love those super easy patterns that you can make things in a "sitting". The color is great. Love your model! :)

  2. That color is so nice!
I like how it turned out
