We Made a Pact

The nurse on my job loves to make crafts. She is getting ready to start making these dolls that have wooden bodies and heads, but their bodies are made out of fabric and batting. They are really cute. She's going to make some of different ethnicities and of different historical time periods.

Today as we were chatting about crafting, we decided that in the fall we should do a craft table at our local Seaboard Festival. We can start making things early in order to be ready for the October fair. I've always admired people who sold their items like homemade candles, quilts, hand-painted gourds, photography, etc. Now maybe she and I can be one of those people!

Now that's enough extra commitment for me. No more new things. Now I just need someone to hold me accountable. :-)

  1. You can also make some crochet dresses for those dolls - that would be so cute!!!

I have been to a fair once with a friend, and we would love to do it again, but with a baby on the way I don't want to be involved to any big commitment like that... besides the time that takes to have enough things to display, it's a lot of work to set up a booth and huge the way I am... I don't think it's a good idea!! hehehe

I wish we lived closer though, I would go visit your table!

  2. My high school friend got married and moved to WA because her husband's parents lived that way and were sick. She only comes this way once a year because they have 4 babies now. But I mentioned you to her and I found out that you guys are like 30 minutes away. She lives in Tumwater/Olympia. If I'm ever that way....(gee the likely hood of that, slim to none). :-)

Thanks for the craft ideas. I'll have to make my summer really productive!
