Homemade Granola Bars

I have been purging through my stash of Rachael Ray magazines, tearing out the recipes I actually use or can visualize myself using, and trashing the rest. I stumbled upon this granola bar recipe that I couldn't wait to make.

I haven't tried it yet because it's in the fridge firming up, but I couldn't wait to share the pictures I took in stages. It's a wonder that I get anything cooked with all this picture taking in between!

Here goes:
Here's the dry granola mixture. I used Cascadian Farm's Organic Cinnamon Raisin Granola, pretzels, dried cranberries, and crisp rice - the generic of Rice Krispies.)

Add the granola mixture to the sugar mixture.

Pour the mixture on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Spread the mixture out evenly. Press chocolate chips gently into the mixture. (I actually put the chocolate chips on one side of the granola mixture to see which side I like the best.) Place pan in the refrigerator for 15 minutes until firm. Cut into 16 bars.
