Keeping My Shoelaces Tied

This morning my jogging buddy and I went out to complete our Day 3. I'm still jogging about 2 miles, but I noticed this week that I haven't been pushing myself like I did before jogging so early in the morning. In part, I think it's due to the fact that it's not as lighted and I don't want to be too far away from my jogging buddy for safety reasons. I know that I could do better also because in the past, after completing one mile, I would pick up the pace a little to push through that second mile. This week, I've been jogging at the same speed (if you want to call it that) the entire time. Today on the last lap before the time was up, I pushed through and I knew right then I could have been jogging at that pace for the last few laps. I think I may re-do my Day 3 this weekend if I get the opportunity, but I need to make sure that I keep my shoelaces tied!
