Clearing One's Mind

I completed Day 1 of a new week's workout this morning. It seemed much easier after Saturday's 20 minute jog. Today's workout consisted of a 5 minute jog, 3 minute walk, 8 minute jog, 3 minute walk, 5 minute jog after of course the 5 minute brisk walk. Although my jogging buddy was with me today, we ended up getting separated because we were jogging at different paces. It felt good to have someone out there, but I also now realize that each individual has to exhibit his/her own amount of self-motivated drive in order to complete any task. That's true in other aspects of life too, you know. Sometimes or often many times we have to walk alone and we have to have the strength to be able to do so.

I noticed today that in those times when I was jogging alone I really couldn't focus on too much except what I was doing - jogging. That's probably a first for me. I've got one of those minds that's almost always on "ON." Probably a serious side-effect to being a heavy duty multi-tasker. Anyways in that regard alone, I think jogging may prove to be a good outlet for me. I've been looking for one for quite some time...
